In 2004, a small batch of Mexican Moonshine was bottled for a test run at the Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers‘ Circus Mexicus music festival in Rocky Point, Mexico. All 1,000 bottles sold out over the festival weekend. A few years later, official paperwork and business design in place, the fledgling tequila was scheduled to debut again at the festival – but almost didn’t make it. One cross-Mexico moonshine run later, the tequila arrived in time, to an exuberant welcome by the crowd.
